The physiological effects include relief of nerve root compression, possible disc retraction, mobilization of joint and muscle, improve blood flow, and decrease pain. So all in all, the goal is to relieve pressure on the irritated nerve that is causing numbness and tingling down your arm, decrease the bulging disc in your low back that you cannot get relief from, stretch and relax the muscles that are surrounding the area of discomfort that are becoming tighter and tighter from guarding the low back or the neck region from the pain, help to mobilize the region because our bodies were meant to MOVE, and to decrease inflammation that is adding to the discomfort in the muscles.
