Sciatica Can Be Treated

Ever felt that persistent pain from the lower back, through the buttock, and into your lower leg? Ever felt that pain more after sitting or even sneezing? You might be dealing with sciatica.

If you are feeling a numbness, or that pins and needles sensation, you might also be dealing with sciatica.

Tempted to just ignore it and hope it will go away? Sciatica most often progresses and in time you will experience muscle weakness and even a gradual loss of leg function. So, don’t ignore it, get it treated now.

Wondering how this happened since you exercise, but you have not been injured and haven’t injured your back? Sciatica is a result of just basic wear and tear on the spine, not an injury. In other words, while there are things you can do to help prevent sciatica, it just happens sometimes.

Want treatments more than just taking an anti-inflammatory? Chiropractic care can help those symptoms. With chiropractic care, the goal is to restore your spinal movement. By doing this, the function of your spine is improved, which reduces the inflammation and relieves the sciatica.

Be aware that sciatica can be different in individuals. That means for one person exercises and spinal adjustments might be the treatment for sciatica. For another, it might mean ice/heat therapy and spinal adjustments. The best way to find out is to discuss your sciatica with a chiropractor.
